a trip down memory lane

i so stole this from christoph. this head trip seemed like too much fun to pass up.

[What year was it?]
1997-1998.

[What were your three favorite bands?]
Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Godhead, and Garbage.

[What was your favorite outfit?]
Anything BLACK. Although various shades of grey and red were involved from time to time. And jeans...they're a staple of most closets.

[What was up with your hair?]
Getting to be long.

[Who were your best friends?]
Nick Diggins and Brad Bowling.

[What did you do after school?]
I either went to hang out with Nick, Shaun, and Brad or I went home IF I didn't have marching band right after school.

[Where did you work?]
My first job was with Pizza Hut with my dad shortly after I turned fifteen. I worked there for over a year.

[Did you take the bus?]
Yes, but sometimes I got a ride from my parents or I walked.

[Who did you have a crush on?]
Mike, Nick, Jeremiah, and Bryan. Mike moved, I kissed Nick, and dated the other two guys.

[Did you fight with your parents?]
All the time! We fought over my grades, house chores, dating, and my avoiding going to church.

[Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?]
Madonna Wayne Gacy (Manson) and Trent Reznor.

[Did you smoke cigarettes?]
Yeah a few times usually out with friends if they offered me cigarettes, but I refused to waste money buying them myself.

[Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?]
Hell no. I kept as much as I could in my locker.

[Did you have a 'clique'?]
If being a band geek counts, then yeah.

[Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?]
I don't know what "The Max" is...I've always been uncultured.

[Admit it, were you popular?]
I wouldn't say popular, but I was acquainted with a lot of people, especially from band.

[Who did you want to be just like?]
No one really. I just didn't want to be like my mother.

[What did you want to be when you grew up?]
I wanted and still do want to work somewhere in the music business.

[Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?]
I never thought that far ahead.

YOUR SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL

[What year was it?]
2000-2001.

[What were your three favorite bands?]
Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Godhead, and Tori Amos.

[What was your favorite outfit?]
Still anything black and jeans. I loved my Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral T-shirt.

[What was up with your hair?]
Very, very long. I could almost sit on it and it went all over the place when I had sex.

[Who were your best friends?]
Christoph (my boyfriend then.), Nick, Brad, Melody Velasco, Steffie Kruchoski, and Jessica Southard.

[What did you do after school?]
I was usually glued to Christoph or hanging out with my friends IF I didn't have marching band or radio.

[Where did you work?]
This was the only year I decided not to work because I wanted to have the most out of my social life.

[Did you take the bus?]
I either got rides or I walked.

[Who did you have a crush on?]
I was too glued to Christoph and my crushes faded away.

[Did you fight with your parents?]
All the time and still about the issues. Religion was the biggest problem I had with my parents.

[Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?]
Trent Reznor still and Mike the guitarist from Godhead.

[Did you smoke cigarettes?]
Sometimes still. I tried these herbal cigarettes for awhile with Steffie and Melody when I hung out with them.

[Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?]
No, but I didn't have many books that year.

[Did you have a 'clique'?]
Yeah with being a band geek, and also with radio and my "outcast" friends.

[Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?]
Yeah I still have no idea what that is...

[Admit it, were you popular?]
Well everyone knew my name after Karnival der Musik. I kept to my little group.

[Who did you want to be just like?]
I admired Trent Reznor and Tori Amos and sometimes wished to be like them. I still just wanted not to be like my mother.

[What did you want to be when you grew up?]
This year I had focused in on radio specifically and dreamed of working as a DJ at 105.7 The Point.

[Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?]
I still never really though of the future other than I thought I would always be together with someone.
